Mother-In-Law: All occasions

My mother-in-law asked me to write her a poem for her birthday at a time when we were both trying to figure out our new roles. I was a young mom with my first son and writing it helped me see from her perspective. Not only did I realize the beauty of our relationship and the strength of all that we had in common, I realized that when we let go, more comes back. The reality is that as we embrace change and God’s order, we don’t diminish, but expand and grow in new ways. A mom goes from a coach who teaches and trains to a fan who gets to enjoy the beautiful game from the GRANDstands. Grandkids are His gift back to you!
